[Portal Defenders: Fast Break!]

The game is pretty cut and dry so my review will be cut and dry too.

Portal Defenders: Fast Break might be the most visually amazing game on Newgrounds. From the animations, to the scenary, to the specials and even the menus. Pretty good, now for the bad part; this might be the most boring game I played in a long while.

For most of my 1 hour playing this I was appreciating the music and the little details of each level. That's probably the most interesting part of the game since gameplay is lacking. The enemy AI is pathetic. The controls are precise but not functional. The second I figured the controls the game was over. I played all levels hoping it would get harder but it never did. All I met was new levels with gimmicks that made them more annoying than fun. After Nevada I just made one point and sat there with the ball in my hand and waited for the match to end, because the opponent would only react after a minute.

It's a very "nice" game, but I don't see myself playing this again. Portal Defense was leagues better than this, but I still believe the sheer effort on the visuals make this a 5/5.

to be completely fair, I'm done with bullet hells and roguelikes such as these. I can safely say that this obviously was way more of an effort than Spent Chells, the roguelike that we had in Febuary, but despite being better overall it isn't any more or less fun to play. I would say I like it just because it is "cute", but that's an isult to a game dev.
